Pregame Info & Setup
As the world has grown evermore complex, so have many of our boundaries. Thus, cnxn has no premade separators denoting what is too flirty for friends, to deep for dates, or too light hearted for couples. Instead there are 10 blank cards in the full deck of 300 that serve two purposes:
Allowing for more lifestyle specific, highly nuanced questions to be added to the deck at whatever bond type is desired.
Blanks used in groups of 3 or more serve as visual separators between sections (the edges are a different color) to separate the friends, dates, and couples sections.
The borderless design decision keeps the game more compact for travel, open to a variety of lifestyles, and flexible— allowing the owners to decide if they want to separate the cards according to the design of the maker or to move a few questions into other sections whilst adding things that matter to them most. (but keep the whiteout near just in case, we might already have your question covered ;P )
At the first opening of the box, its recommended that users begin by placing the write-in card created borders at standard separations between each section and then move cards across these borders as they play with friends, lovers, and those in between as they connect.
The Flow of Play Is Simple
Draw 7 or more cards from the selected sections you would like to play within based on your intention of play.
Who holds the cards doesn’t matter in the standard play style as all involved parties will answer each question. We recommend placing the deck of drawn cards in the middle of all players.
Youngest player draws a card first, then reads it. All players, including the reader answer. This cycle repeats with the flow of who reads next going clockwise from that point on until the deck of drawn cards have all been read.
Last but not least, be honest, try to keep an open mind, and seek to understand and connect.
